Points for name change in Lordaeron

Hi yall

Is there a reason why we can't use points to change a character name in Lordaeron while it can be done in Icecrown?

The short story is that Lordaeron has a different design philosophy.

I understand that, that's the reason I prefer Lordaeron over Icecrown.

Like that you can't buy equipment for the shop and the x1 experience progression. But that's one thing and other is not beeing able to change the name of your character unless you pay real money.
