Ninja looting at the end of a heroic dungeons

    Hi,

I would like to highlight a problem regarding ninja looting in heroic dungeons, specifically at the end of a dungeon when the last boss is killed. I've noticed that ninja looters, in order to avoid getting banned, don't roll "need" right away. Instead, they wait for a while. Many players in the game have a high enough gear score that they don't care to wait and quit the dungeon before that long wait is over. Therefore, often only the ninja looter and one other player who correctly rolled "greed" or "need" stay for the full loot distribution.

What happens is that the ninja looter waits for this to happen, then rolls "need", quits the dungeon before the other player can react. When the player notices the ninja roll, it's too late. They can take a screenshot, but it only shows that player's spec/role in the dungeon — nobody else's. And if that player, for example, is a damage dealer and a tank or a healer stole the item, it's not possible to prove ninja looting because the screenshot does not show the ninja looter's role in the dungeon, only the fact of the roll in the game chat.

So what should be done in such cases? Taking screenshots before every last boss is possible, but it's tiresome for players. Can Warmane do something about this specific method of ninja looting?

    Thank you.

Take a screenshot when you enter, or a new member joins the RDF. Then you take screenshots whenever is needed. Since there's a trend with last second need rolls on last boss' loot, screenshot the party during the last boss encounter as well for a good measure. While waiting for the rolls, screenshot their current items for the same slots. E.g. if two-handed weapon and a chest is to be rolled, screenshot their current weapon(s) & chest. This way their current items are shown, if for same spec that is. OS need would need a permission from the whole group, so screenshot chat before, during and after the kill to display if it ever happened.

A lot of PC's have a record video option that records the last minute(or whatever you set this to) of your game. Most newer gaming computers have this by default. You can always check to see if you have something like this on your PC and set it up. Then just record, and upload somewhere and put a ticket it. If you don't have something like this. I highly recommend it.

To record the last minute of activity on a PC, the fastest method is using the built-in Windows Game Bar by pressing Windows Key + Alt + G. This requires "Background Recording" to be enabled in Windows Settings under Gaming > Captures, allowing you to save recent moments.
