Is Archeology working?

So I know how Archeology works, and several peoples told me it works for them. But seems like I cant do it. I'm going to the marked zone on the map and surveying there, but absolutely nothing happens. According to the survey spell the zone should get smaller untill I found a fragment but the zone just stays the same for me. Am I doing something wrong or?

Edit: I've tried on 2 of my accounts and on neither of them worked.

I remember some zones in Stranglethorn Valley and The Jade forset dont work.
