1. Icerown: Avoid crash while flying from/to Dalaran

    Hey

This is not a turtorial, but rather a advice for players expiriencing this issue. Since i got pissed about that and found a temporary solution i want to share.

I have a pretty decent gaming machine, but my GPU can't handle the massive population in Dalaran. Resulting in crashes, due to lacking memory. It's not a problem since you can reconnect. But if it happens while using flying master your character gets bugged. Since almost every fly path is connected with Dalaran i'm sure many expirience this problem in Northend. And until it is fixed, i present you my solution.

Alt tab out of the game while you are using flying master.

Yes this is that simple. And if you think about that the reason why this works is simple. Your GPU has not to render anything. And you will never expirience a crash, while using the flying master service. Tab out to desktop, go afk for 5min. And don't worry that your game could crash while you fly. :)

NOTE: This won't work with windowed mode!!!

  2. Or you can download the old wotlk client, not this "updated with WoD models" thing, and practically never crash again.

By making WoW.exe large address aware, it fixed all crashes associated with the new client. May want to give it a shot if you are running more than 3GB Ram in your rig. Used this per recommendation of other users in the forums.

edit: Ram value increased from 2 to 3 Gb.

This would be amazing if it works. Will reinstall the wod models and test it.
