For a first signature, it's pretty good. You need to fix the background though, and the blending. Try working on some better colours that work better together and with the render you use. Try also downloading some better fonts. You will get there eventually. Just give it time.
The background was really just me playing with my new brushes and slapping them on the canvas to see what they look like. I got up to get a drink, sat back down, and was like "thats pretty cool" so I slapped a render on it. Not too much real thought went into it.
Well, like I said, for a first sig it is pretty good. Follow some tuts also. They may help.
Bit too big in height too. And indeed the background is very messy, its eating the signature.
It's definitely good for a first signature. You should make more and refine your skills and find your own personal technique and style. Practice makes perfect.
Hell of a better then my first one. Practice my friend, practice is the key. Start from simple stuff with 3-5 layers, then move on to hundreds and micromanagement.
