I found a way to run the 3.3.5 WotLK client on macOS M1(crossover)

Download the winerosetta.dll and winerosettaldr.exe from the latest release.
Navigate to your WoW installation directory.
Copy winerosetta.dll and winerosettaldr.exe here
Use "Crossover" run "winerosettaldr.exe" to play.

I hope Warmane team test this, and in the future, you could integrate macOS client downloads on the website, using free Wine packaging to provide the client to players.

I had the same problems, but i solve deleting Crossover and using whisky.app:

getwhisky.app + winerosetta

It's easy to use because have a nice UI.

Internally it uses wine version 7.7 with all the 3D libraries needed to run WoW (Vulkan 3D driver for MACOS Metal GPU)

With this configuration I got a 30 fps playng Warmane on my Mac Mini M2 (my friends got 40fps on M3)

Hey thanks for the recommendation and I got the client to work, do you mind showing a screenshot of your configuration? I turned on DXVK and Metal and it does nothing on Whisky, I still get less than 10FPS on Dalaran

Please dont test things in Dalaran.
Even on a big Computer with Windows 11 Dalaran has very Low FPS depending on Population too.
So Zone out and Test again (No Major Cities)

That's the one yes, it's a bit of a hassle to download but there's some guides online. For installing windows you can let VMware get the Windows11 isos for you and it should be fairly straightforward, after that just download the warmane client in the windows environment.

I finally found a way: Installing the trial version of CrossOver 26 and then TurtleSilicon patcher (got it from their discord: https://turtlesilicon.github.io/ - join the server and go to "Releases". Or compile it yourself (i think this is the correct repo: https://github.com/Malachoris/turtlesilicon)

install crossover, then download/compile the turtlesilicon patcher, move it to the App folder on your mac, then patch it (terminal: xattr -cr /Applications/TurtleSilicon.app). Open the turtlesilicon app, select on top "wrathsilicon" instead of turtlesilicon (important), find game folder then patch everything available and press run.

That was it for me.

I tried playing around with winerosetta and rosettax87 together with wine and also with PortingKit (which also uses wine and some crossover engine stuff under the hood), but i could absolutely not get it working. Always crashed.

Apparently you can use the Crossover trial even when it expires, because you start it with the patcher. But since I just got it working today I cannot confirm this yet.

Btw: before that I also had it working in vmware fusion, but that was also a hassle. I prefer the crossover+turtlesilicon approach.

I got 60fps on M1 Pro on Icecrown. <3
