Welcome To The Company - a guild unlike other on this, or any server for that matter. Our members are more than just mere members - each and every one of us is a valuable resource that will one day drive the virtual economy, and above all else, a professional. Upon becoming a member of our family, you too will become the driving resource, and a professional in a world lacking in such individuals.

The Company's Mission



We are a brand new guild formed on Sargeras with a PVE as well as PVP oriented style of play. That said, this is merely a secondary objective of The Company - our primary objective is what sets us apart from standard guilds: Commerce and trade. Money is control, and control is power. And power is what The Company seeks. Our current Senior Partner already fully controls the flow and trade of three valuable commodities. A mere 1.2% of total Auction House trade in terms of item relevance and value. But what if that control was boosted to 40%, maybe even 50% or 60%? With devoted and skilled individuals, that goal can be accomplished - as a whole of The Company. In the real world, such practice would be considered unethical monopolizing and seizing of trade - but in WoW, it is merely a way to do business. Many guilds simply wish to down this boss here, or get that achievement over there - we wish for gold. With money comes valuable resources our members will be able to take advantage of. Whereas many guilds like to have useless crap lying around in their vaults, we will have resources our members will actually be able to use to further their progress. But to accomplish that a ruthless business mindset will be required of our members.

How We Conduct Our Business



As stated above, we are primarily a commerce based guild, but we do not ignore the cravings for hitting and killing things. The guild may have just been born, but the plans to organize frequent PVE dungeon dives and raids along with PVP events and specialized guild events with rewards for our members (the guild was just fired up today, and there is already more worthwhile material in there than in most!) are already in the works. However, members will contribute more to the riches of the guild itself - a take and give system. The more we contribute to the guild, the more resources we will have at our disposal for nearly anything we need. Been wanting to get your hands on that Sandstone Drake for some time? With our guild, that time would be reduced to a fraction.

With regards to our conduct, we believe in a sense of professionalism - ruthless professionalism. But all the same, we do not bother to bog down our members with rules. As such, we have only two rules:

1-A willingness to do what is necessary to further the advancement of The Company.
2-Use your basic sense and common courtesy.

We will not tolerate members acting like a horse's ***. While we do have methods of controlling unruly members, those deemed impossible to rehabilitate will find it quite difficult to search for an additional installment to partake in. The Company has a public blacklist it will use to mark these unruly individuals. On top of that, with increasing resources there will be an increasing influence. If someone is being particularly obnoxious, and not just for The Company but for nearly everyone else, wouldn't it be nice if this individual's knack for causing problems becomes limited?

And lastly: Cross-Guild cooperation. As we are very small currently, we will be striving to develop friendly relations to other guilds to organize raids and other such events. And of course, as a guild specializing in trade, the exchange of goods will be yet another method of establishing connections.


Becoming A Member



Becoming a member of the guild is quite simple - just fill out the application below, post it in this thread, and very quickly you will be sent an invitation if the requirements are met. As for the requirements...they are actually quite light!

~ Must be level 85. Alts will not be counted, and will be marked as such upon entry.
~ There will be no gear, class or specialization requirements.
~ You must have at least 400 in any given profession.
~ Disregard for morals and ethics. We like our businessmen to be ruthless.
~ Intelligent individuals. We have no tolerance for obnoxious people who make things harder for everyone else, or undertake reckless practices that don't pan out. We aim for profits, not losses.

STATUS:

Despite posting the thread, I honestly haven't made any effort into recruiting anyone in-game either. For the time being, I'm going to spend a week or two making the guild richer and fatter. Give you guys a good reason to join a brand new guild.

So for the time being, I will not be checking out any applications. You can post an application here if you want...but like I said, nothing's gonna happen for about 2 more weeks.
