Elemental shaman Dps

I would like to ask a little question. Are elemental shamans fixed really well?? Its just strange that ele shammys aren't doing that much damage as they should. It feels like last rank of Lava burst and Lightning bolt are bugged. I would like to see insane 40k crits on full Cataclysm geared characters (like it should be) not 20k.. Its just my opinion so feel free to discuss with me. :D

I've seen a few times 90k+ crits from ele shams and they do insane damage if played well. L2P :>

As far as PvE goes ele shaman seems like lowest dps atm. Even when you outgear some enh shaman by 10-15 iLvls you won't be doing more dps. They have insane starting burst and with on use trinket + elemental mastery it's not rare to see crits close to 100k, but after that initial 15 seconds dps drops drastically.

One good thing, however, ele is almost top AoE dps.


As far as PvP goes, ele shamans are tanks with good burst, but certain classes could kill you in such a way that you pretty much won't do much more than few shocks and thunderstorm (was fighting a rogue in BG today for 2 mins, totems were keeping me alive but other than few shocks and thunderstorm I couldn't do any damage that rogue couldn't outheal).

Well, i still think that ele shammys must do more damage than they are doing right now.. Btw i am playing wow for 5 years so why do you say that i need to learn to play when i know every class in depth..

There are only a couple bugs with elemental shaman dps right now. Your pet Fire Elem totem does not snapshot properly (which is a molten universal thing), and fulmination has been nerfed to hell by Molten due to whiners in PvP. its doing about 30% less damage than it should be. This is not an estimate, this was tested by myself and others thoroughly with sims/buffs/etc

However, it just sounds like you aren't very good at elemental shaman. Which is hard to believe because it is one of the easiest rdps classes to play besides arcane mage. I open at 50kish and end at about 35-36k dps on my elem. Which in molten, is usually enough to top most meters.

My elemental is simmed to do 39k so with the snapshot bugs and the weak fulmination, i'll take 36k.

Flametongue totem also broken. Didn't even see it in bug tracker and looks like a huge majority of shamans don't even realize it's not working properly.

I was with a ELE shaman in DS few minutes ago and he is doing great. He is the top 1 DPS and most fight.. SO i think they are not that bad

There is never a circumstance where an elemental shaman would use Flametongue totem so this is irrelevant

Yes, my bad on that. I just searched and apparently 6% isn't stacking with 10% from Totemic Wrath buff. Which sucks pretty bad.

the scales of all dps perks with spellpower are obv kinda broken.

id prolly do the same dps with 3k lesser spellpower - ist quite weird ****
might run a buggtracker cuz ele dps is ******ed low even ind endgear / even with good critlines.
