Random BG and RDF que

hey guys,
i am simply curious about the ques for bgs and dungeons. i thought only lower levels got longer ques, but i hit 85, and havent even got into anything last 3 days :/ :/.
is this normal?
i am sorry if i sound impatient but its the first time i got this far with a character and am damned excited about everything.

I can only attest to events on the MoP server, Frostwolf. If you are playing on Sargeras, transfer your character now using the free transfer option available on the Marketplace. That server is closed.

If by "normal" you mean, "a frequent occurrence on Warmane" then the answer is yes. Due to the high xp rates, all low level multiplayer content is suffering. I'm afraid you'll have wait till level 90 to bash horde scum, my friend.

On the upside, you are now eligible to get into an MoP dungeon, so queue for a few normals and enjoy the content till that last ding comes.

After that, I expect to see mountain of orcish heads planted on spikes along the way to the shrine and a litter of undead bones to carpet the road.

Since our realms are high rate (x7 if i'm not mistaken), most of the players prefer to reach the cap level first before entering in BGs or dungeons. If you want to enjoy PvP ASAP, i suggest do your best in reaching the cap level (90) first.

Thanks for replying so quick guys. So you are saying i ll get into bgs more regularly 90 on just by queing on the random bg port?
That definitely gives me more incentive to go through the last 5 levels asap.
Can you guys suggest ways to clear the last 5? I simply cant quest/grind anymore. Its so boring now. Will professions give an adequate xp boost? Or is there any other way?

The way to get 90 is to quest in Pandaria. It may be too long for your taste, but that is the quickest way to 90.

No matter what the xp rates are at, on private servers especially no-one will BG before level 90. If we lower the rates people will find a server that is faster to get to the BGs (for PvPers). If we increase the terribly slow 7x to something reasonable like 20x, more PvPers will come here.

World of Warcraft is a "cap before you do anything" game. Everyone gets to 90 before PvP mostly because the level differential between even 1 level is massive. Modern MMOs like Star Wars The Old Republic is a very different type of MMO where the PvP is most fun low level, second most fun mid levels, and least fun at top level. Being a veteran WOW player this was shocking to me, but quite liberating.

On WOW if you are a buff level 89, watch a nekkid level 90 step on you like you are a bug.

Something is broken with 85-89 bgs. Before the molten wow crash I could get 20 bgs a day on Frostmane while leveling.

Now there 1500 more players on the sever and never a single bg being played as a break from leveling.
