Where did my reforging go?

Hi guys,
I ran into a bit of a bump recently. I reforged my items as per convention, and the lately for some time my item stats are shown to be reset. It cant be connection issues coz i ran instances with my crap base stats. (needles to say got wiped ) why is this happening?
Again, i am new so if its an obvious answer i apol beforehand :P

Put the reforged item(s) into ur backpack then relog. It should show and give the right stats.
Same progress with xmog and upgradeable items.
