How is pvp on cata expansion ??

I haven't played this exp. Only wotlk and MOP. How is pvp here? Why play cata over the other 2 for those that do. what is the draw?

just wondering if i should try it out.

Try it man! You will just dislike weapon like Gurthalak or No'kaleds, but its ok man, u will get used to it =)

also you will get used to ret pve 2 sets. bone link. rath'rak. cunning.

rogues with 6 pve items.
hunters with 5 pve items
mages with pve trinket and 4 pve gear items

yeah no'kaleds will only do about 40k damage to you in an opener but it's ok it's part of the game

@OP don't listen to these trolls, cata pvp is totally balanced and very competitive. But since you haven't played it before, I recommend following these steps:

1. roll female human ret paladin
2. donate for full cataclysmic gear, HC Gurth and HC 2 t13 pieces
3. once you've mastered your class (which takes 1-2 mins at most), find a rogue or a hunter with 15-20 HC PvE items
4. get 2.5k in 2s
5. GZ you're 2.5k!
6. wait till the season ends to get your rival/gladiator title
7. stand in Elwynn forest and /flex about your title
8. join bg and pwn some bads (jk, you would get roflstomped by <FATALITY> double premades)
9. all the above

Don't forget the mages using a TANK trinket which when procced can kill you in one deep freeze or a combustion which had only a small ignite from scorch spamming...balanced.
