MM or BM? pros n cons?
what spec should pet always be? for pvp, cunning,etc..
Battlegrounds: BM with ferocity pet
Arena (with low gear): BM with ferocity pet (spirit beast preffered)
Arena (full grevious): MM with cunning pet
BM pros: Pet hits like a truck @ low ilvl cuz there something wrong with pets benefiting from their owners' stats and early in the game it's just the best option. Also currently without vmaps pets go through pillars sooooo...
MM pros: Better burst potential, better CC and better survivability with cuning pet
BM cons: Bestial Wrath won't free you from Cyclone (it's in bugtracker, but no fix in sight)
MM cons: Gear dependant
That's my opinion.

i barely see any bms in bg.. and most people saying mm .. im trying mm for now.. high dmg and burst.. its what i do
I'd like to see more opinions on this matter as well, I am torn atm between the 2 specs.
My hunter is full 522 pvp geared and even though chimaera crits are amazing, BM sustained dmg is slowly tilting the balance in its favour for me.
For arenas, MM is the go-to spec, in my opinion.
But in BGs, what's a 150k chimaera crit compared to constant 50-60k arcane shot crits while in BW plus the insane pet damage.
Also, quick and untested comment: Kill Command seems gimp. Most of the time in BGs and especially if Thrill of the Hunt is up, id rather use Arcane Shot instead of KC.
In theory, you're right, BM can put out great sustained damage. The issue is, sustained damage on a single target is usually pointless. Any healer will outheal you easily.
Look at other sustained damage specs, like Boomkins, Elemental Shamans, Affliction Warlocks, Fire Mages (to some extent, but they have a great burst too).
All these specs rely on heavy aoe pressure. This is what makes the damage too much for healers to keep up with.
In PvP generally the two types of damage dealers are burst or sustained AoE. In a BG I really don't see why anyone would take a BM hunter, when an affli lock/boomkin would do the same sustained damage on 4 people at once, compared to a BM on a single target. In that situation, I'd take the MM hunter who can delete people with 150k Chimera Shots while the affli lock has the dots to put pressure.
Hope that makes sense :)
Hmm, perhaps. But the CC utility of the hunter combined with the BM sustained damage is what it's used for. This being said, MM is superior because of the silence. I agree with the list of other sustained dmg specs being superior, also mentioning the SPriest which, geared, is more than decent.
I've been trying Survival in pvp the past day and I couldn't help but feel I was carried by gear. LNL procs make for great burst, but randomness is a major turnoff. Also, hunter with magical damage makes me question my sexuality :P
So, out of the 3, MM seems far superior.
