Is fish tournament of Stranglethorn vale working? I am waiting for hours the npc to get the achievement and he dont appears.

If the NPCs haven't spawned for hours, then it's likely it doesn't work. I haven't looked for myself but if you're waiting for hours and nothing is working, then I'm just going to assume it's broken.

Fishing tournament doesn't work. Use your vote points for Arcanite Fishing Rod, and you'll get your achievement.

On retail, it took me three years to win both prizes. What a horrible bunch of ulcers that was.

Apparently this tournament don't work on Deathwing either.

I stayed up til 9am to find that out. Yay, gonna die of fatigue now.

Fishing Tournament DOES work. I've won twice in a row several months ago (one week, and then the next week). The first prize I selected was http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=19970, while the second prize I selected was http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=19979.

Unfortunately, there can be complications with this event. For example, there is no 2nd or 3rd prize winner; once someone has handed in their 40 http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=19807 to the fishing master, he will actually die right in front of you and not respawn.

Also, the event does not start when it states so on the calendar. It does start, however, on Sunday at 5 PM (EST); at least it did several months ago.

I'm unsure if http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=19803, http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=19806, and http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=19805 are obtainable, but I would assume, yes.

Hope this clears up some confusion.
