1. Stormwind NPC Hostiliy at the last Quest of the DK Starter Quest Line

I haven't reported this to Bugtracker as frankly I don't believe it to be a bug - but a hidden side effect of the weapon.

But I Voted for the Corrupted Ashbringer on a new Death Knight and collected it from the mailbox In the starter area - no problem. The weapon is OP as hell for that area and level and Lore suggests it to be the most fitting weapon for a Death Knight after Darion Mograin, after giving his own life with his father's Sword (Claimed from his father in Naxx 40) At the scourges last attack on Light's Hope chapel - only to be re-animated by Kel'Thuzzad and replace his father as supplicant of the Lich King wielding the still corrupted ashbringer. Then, as you see at the last part of the DK quest chain (if you ever get chance to experience the RP where he throws the Corrupted Blade to Tirion Fordring (one of the most greatest paladins of all time) and it be cleansed and resumes its title of 'Scourge of the Scourge' and used to repels Lich Kings reposte.

Now to the point, after the battle of light's hope where Darion pledges allegiance to Tirion and Tirion Gives you a note to take to King Varian Wrynn of Stormwind. After you get teleported to the gates of Stormwind, if you are wielding Corrupted Ashbringer - Although Neutral or have marginal rep with Stormwind Faction the Guards will Attack you, Hell even passing children will attack you for wielding such a blade.

Obviously an easy remedy would be to just unequip the weapon - But I'd just thought I'd share an experience I'd had when RPing a DK with Corrupted Ashbringer.

  2. Definitely trying this.

  3. Definitely trying this.
Oh you should plus there is nothing more satisfying that having a periodic 'Kill... Them... All...' whispered through your headset whilst wielding the blade.
