1. questions about wotlk

    hey guys
    im new here ...
    just asking about wotlk servers
    is the leveling quests so much bugged?
    all raids/dungeon working?
    if yes what is the best realm for Pve
    and guilds?
    warrior tank is good in pve?

  2. Quests = Working
    RDF = Working
    ICC = Working
    There is only 2 realms and it doesn't matter but i play on Ragnaros.
    There are pve and pvp guilds.
    Warrior tank sucks, bugged and usesless.

  3. Most of the quests are working - those that aren’t can be skipped and you don’t notice much of a difference. I’ve had almost no problems levelling in any of the zones.

    There’s 4 dungeons that are bugged (Trial of the Champion doesn’t give 2x Emblem of Frost if you complete it via RDF Heroic; Culling of Stratholme can bug in a way that Arthas doesn’t appear after the dialogue; Utgarde Pinnacle’s third boss goes into infinite loop and can’t be passed; Occulus tends to bug in a similar way as Culling of Stratholme does;), but they can be avoided by requeuing. Ulduar and Eye of Eternity can’t be completed as some of the bosses don’t work (but they are working on it I guess), as for the other raids, they work quite nicely. There are some differences from retail, but nothing you can’t get adjusted to.

    Deathwing and Ragnaros are pretty similar when it comes to PvE achievements and PvP. Not much of a difference, except for the people. Personally I’ve been on Deathwing ever since I came to Warmane and I got no regrets.

    There’s many guilds to suit your needs, from end-game to PvP and mediocre ones. However, I believe that you’ll find more active PvE guilds on Alliance side on Deathwing.

    Warrior Tanks are good in PvE, but they are slightly bugged. Don’t take the poster above me too serious, he either has almost to no idea about Warrior Tanks on Warmane or lacks experience with it and doesn’t know how to play one. Either way, Warrior Tanks are able to MT or OT Lich King 25 Heroic (LoD), which pretty much says all that needs to be said. They’re a very versatile class and there’s a lot of room for improvement. The two notable bugs are that Block Value isn’t scaled properly (that’s why you’ll notice being hit harder than other Tank classes) and Armor cap is “normal” compared to other classes, thus you’re a bit more paper. Other than that, if you manage your cooldowns properly, you’ll have no problems tanking with it. If you have retail experience with Warrior Tanks, I’d advise you to check some of the videos posted in Deathwing Recruitment threads to see what’s different (e.g. you go for Glyph of Shield Wall and Glyph of Last Stand as your “must have” glyphs).

    I'm currently active on Ragnaros and i've been playing Wotlk for several years. The tank "rating" goes like : Paladin > DK > Druid > Warr, Usually everyone wants a Paladin MT and just something as OT (Pref DK or another pala) . Warrior tanks are good in PvE -> IF <- they are BiS (Best in Slot) So if you're going to donate for full PvE gear then go for it but otherwise i wouldn't recommend it at all, As he said they are bugged, Who wants to be a papertank?

    And no i haven't played warrior, I've just been raiding with them and they all have had problems (Except the bis ones), Aggro problems, Die quickly etc..

  5. afaik atleast warr tanks aggro problem was fixed a while back. Warrior tanks are imo the most fun and I would recommend you to roll it if thats the tank you enjoy the most.

  6. Play whatever you want.

    Warriors working fine. Dont listen to Widden.

    if this was retail it would go Bear>DK>Warrior>Pally

    just play what you want. anyone can be good at any class broken or not. unless enh shaman. then your screwed.

  7. Nah, you don't need to be BiS as Warrior Tank ... 6.2 gearscore-wise is fairly enough. And by being "papertank", you simply go for Glyph of Shield Wall and Glyph of Last Stand and manage your cooldowns to deal with Soul Reaper ... you practically nullify that, as you get more flexible. Aggro problems were fixed and Warrior Tanks can keep a good amount of threat. I've had no problems with a 6.2k geared tank to not lose aggro to good geared DPS'ers.
    Why would you play a Warrior Tank? Because it's the most fun to play. You got an ability for any situation.
    I don't know what it's like on Ragnaros, but clearly some of the people there need to learn how to play Warrior Tanks properly ;)

    Death Knights or Bears usually are the best main tanks. Paladins, like Warriors, excel at being an off-tank. Can the roles be switched and jumbled around? Sure thing, but never ever underestimate the value of block against many targets, or the sheer amount of cooldowns that a Death Knight or the health and armor a Bear offer for main tanking.

    Also, I must say that you are exaggerating your stance on Warrior tanks. They have vastly improved threat-wise as of late, and that is no longer an excuse. As for being a "papertank", and arguing that Warriors are only good when they are BIS, is the same as saying that stacking stamina is better than aiming for armor whenever available. It's simply not true, and those that stack stamina are usually one of two kinds of people. 1) They only know what they are told and may be somewhat new to the tanking role, or 2) they are not very good at their class/spec and would prefer to attempt to "outgear" the content by cheesing it with more health. Either way, anything is possible if you and your group is good enough at the game.

  9. What about the new client.

    I mean is work fine?

  10. It's a work in progress. There are some issues with it. The biggest being that the hairstyles for some races aren't visible. The crashes involved with the client is conflicting data, though. The cache and WTF data files have to be populated with the new information. Since the WoD models' complexity isn't native to the Wrath client, it causes some inconsistencies. The crashes should become less frequent the more you play, though.

  11. Gonna be fixed before lordaeron release?
