Im talking about PVE raiding (icc but also lower tiers if anyone remembers) and if MM hunters are able to compete for top spot with fire mages, rets and fury warrs? (similar skill, similar gear, different fights comparison is what i mean)
I have checked some retail old screenshots and ranking but im curious how they perform on warmane, planning to roll one for Lordaeron, just want to know if they are among the strongest dps classes.

Inside of ICC Hunters are positively bugged to the point that they regularly dominate the top of the meters (a bug that will likely be fixed on Lordaeron). Outside of ICC they're still an excellent class that can produce crushing numbers in the hands of a good player.
To answer your question, yes, they are among the strongest DPS classes in 3.3.5. Coupled with the considerable utility they bring to the table, they're often considered a raid staple. Even on retail it was rare to see a 25-man raid without at least 2-3 of them.

No problemo. Hunter raid viability was never a problem all throughout WotLK - far from it. The only thing I'd be concerned about with making a hunter on Lordaeron is that there might be a crap tonne of other people who might be tempted to roll a Hunter because of the ease of leveling.
