1. Deterrence - Rogues and Paladins

    Before anyone says "you can't parry attacks from behind" I'll just say put a sock in it. This is 3.3.5a patch, if anyone had a working brain cell they would know how seriously bugged Deterrence is.

    Let's start with this:

    Patch 3.2.0 (04-Aug-2009): This ability now allows the hunter to parry spells and attacks from behind as well as in front. Now has a new visual spell effect.



    Correct me if I'm wrong, but this says "allows the hunter to parry spells and attacks from BEHIND as well as in front".

    They even added a new visual effect (blades spinning AROUND the hunter) so there would be no discussion about parry from behind.


    Also, I would like to add that there is a definitive list of abilities / spells that WILL go through deterrence 24/7.

    Overpower
    Counterattack
    Runestrike
    Engi hand rocket
    Judgements

    and

    Cheap Shot

    Why did I divide CS?

    Well, currently on WotLK realms, there's a extremely serious bug which makes rogues severely OP towards hunters.

    What happens... if you're a hunter, and you deterrence, and a rogue cheap shots you, that cheap shot will "turn off" the deterrence effect and every single ability / attack from the rogue WILL go through. In 3.3.5a patch, CS can stun the hunter, and that's fine, but what happens AFTER cheap shot is applied is a serious issue. Currently rogues can eat through hunters if they abuse this bug, which 99% of rogues are doing.


    Furthermore, not a long time ago, palas couldn't use judgements over deterrence while they should be able to. Now they do but also with judgements their auto attacks are also going through.



    This was also all written over 2 years ago and still isn't fixed.

  2. Palas also do repetance during bestial wrath. Its hillarious. I thought this post molten era would be better but its same as before . buggy as hell.

  3. all deterr does is increasing your parry chance by 100%
    so against attacks that say in their tooltip that u cant parry them, they will go through. just as warr or rogues can interrupt your pet revive during deterr since u cant parry while casting. deterr then only deflects stuff like scatter, silence shot, all cs, charges, intercepts, hoj, rep, fear, hex etc etc
    the engi rocket i noticed as well. warr shattering throw and heroic throw also goes through.
    judgement goes through most of the time. sometimes it deflects. really dunno why though
    same with cheap shot. cant parry cheap shot so it goes through deterr and he can hit you while deterr is up since u cant parry anything while stuned.
