Hello. I want to get Shadowmourne and i can't decide if to get it on Warrior or DK. I want to do both pve and pvp, but slighty more intrested on how dose they go in pvp.
-Witch one its better in arenas in your opinion and why ?
-Let's assume its a fight 2v2 Arms Warrior + Holy Paladin vs Unholy DK + Holy Paladin, who do you think have more chances to win and why ? ( I know that warrior got heal reduce and DK got prestilence and can keep his deseases on both war and hpally, but i dont know who will win)
-What about staking up Shadowmourne's procs i've heard warrior dose it more faster with his Bladestorm, dose that do such a big difference regarding the procs on DK?
I'll apreciate if u give me a lot of details and arguments in your answears. Thx !
1v1 the DK wins, as far as duels go, dk's pretty much can 1v1 anything (except rets and skilled frost mages).
If you add a holy pala.. I'd still bet on the DK... As far as arguments go, I have none other than DK's are more op than Warriors and require less skill to play successfully.. (you can expect a warrior to flop while changing stances/weapons).
In the end you should go with whatever you feel comfortable playing, noone can tell you to play a class you don't like or think you can't handle well.
First of all there is no such thing as better between dk and war. We can say which doesnt require skill though jk both are yolo mourne pve dmg no brainers k tnx bye
Ps there are few classes that require skill on molten and need a brain to succeed not only pve dmg
You just get full advantage of the weapon's stats due to warriors needing ArP while dks dont benefit from it all that much (unless you are frost pve which case we wouldn't be talking about smourne). Also most of the warrior's attacks are based on weapon dmg. Winner:Warrior
PvE wise if you plan on playing fury you 'll still need another high lvl weapon to do your maximun dps as a warrior, so you are basically half-filling the weapon slot while with UH dk the moment you get Smourne the
weapon slot is filled once and for all. + with smourne you can also tank as blood with more aggro than ever!
Winner: DK
The proc is great on both of these classes and yes a Warrior can get full stacks with a bladestorm but
with the same logic a DK can get it just as fast with a death and decay.
Draw
Now on the PvP part of your post, and again IMO i think Hpala+Awar>Hpala>DK.
Let me exaplain why i think that stands, a warrior will indeed pressure the Hpala way more due to MS+UA
and will either kill the hpala (or even the DK) or force the pala to OOM faster due to the need of extra heals
cuz of MS/+UA.
Now on the skill lvl requierment, if u are intrested on some casual arenas on beloe 2,2k you will simly wreck
people on your bladestorms on top of that MS. You don't really need all that much skill for that.
Warriors are way more mobile due to charge/intercept/intervene and overall strugle way less on killing healers.
Though as a warrior you will have trouble surviving a couple of comps for example frost mage/shadow priest
and shadow priest/sub, while dks will have a better time vs these comps which you will often find on higher ratings.
Overall you can faceroll with both classes up to a certain point.
Donating it on your dk will force you to play UH on pve (blood dps got some setbacks so it's not recommended). I know some people wont aggree with my opinion.
sad to say this, but in wotlk's 2v2 - frost dk > 2/3 pve warrior > unholy dk
for all other (3v3 too) dk
dk (unholy) dominate in 3v3, but in 2v2 vs awarr and hpala all depends from your healer if can survive, because you have only 1 grip and chains of ice to give your healer breath from warrior.. paladin will hand of freedom warrior and your healer is gone if he is bad
if you think to play 2v2 with healer go dual wield frost or 2h frost with smourne because of high crits.
unholy is good with 2s (2 dps choose something like ret pala, spriest, feral), with healer i don't suggest you to play with different healer than druid, because of his dmg, ccs and shapeshifts especially if you are vs awarr and hpala
yes i know that my english sucks but i still don't care and won't learn it :D
cheers
Doesn't matter as a SM donor you can press one button and feel to be a hero, enjoy but better never go back to retail then.
Main reason why it makes no sense to play PvP on Wotlk at all.

You've no clue of what are you talking about, if you think that smourne makes you a "hero",Smourne doesnt make u invincible, especially if your enemy knows how to play at all, people that say such thing are the ones that dont have any clue of how to play, and accuse Smourne for how much they are bad.
Lock/Hpala, LSP, Fmage/Spriest, Rogue/Priest,any wizcleave and so on are able to beat every "smourne hero" if they know how to play.
OT: If you aim to get more PvE items, go for Warrior as it's better against MoltenWoW metagame, if you dont want donate more, just go DK, find a Spriest and run MoltenUnholyCleave, problem solved.
Sorry for reviving this couple month old thread, however I have to say that it's not a great choice to get a Shadowmourne on a Warrior instead of your DK.
The difference between smourne and the next best option, glorenzelg, is stupidly huge. You are gimped seriously without smourne on DK.
On a warrior the difference between smourne and oathbinder is 1/10 of that in the situation of the DK.
