Yeah, it really makes me sad. I mean all of my twinks are BiS already, but this will push other people away from twinking even more. Some people might say if you want to play X level go play on a X level server, but some patches change the entire viability of a class/spec. For example: prot warrior, feral druid, and boomkin were jokes in TBC PvP compared to their WOTLK counterparts. Level also changes the PvP to some degree; lack of certain spells can cause a change in play style. Also, vanilla and TBC gear looks pretty damn cool.

I would dare to say 1-79 rather than 1-70, but yes these changes do not seem very good for the Twink community altogether.

Wrath of the Lich King point shop is currently being re-worked, this topic will serve as information, discussion and feedback about what is changing, new limits and removals.

They are however being discussed at the moment. It means you can express your opinion/feedback about them in its dedicated thread and hope for the best. I have already done so, noting what I think are the negative aspects as well as the positive ones. I invite all the Twinkers from Warmane to do the same. Keep Twinking in WotLK realms alive.

Twinking 1-70 or 1-79 is not dead.
You just need to farm gear that's it.
78-79 twinking are very easy to get in-game by professions,instances,quest.

I wish I could share your optimism, specially for the 60 and 70 Twinking brackets because I certainly don't. Having enough time to farm and play could be a strong discouragement to become Twinkers for many of us. I guess only time will tell [what an irony] and I really hope I am wrong. Nonetheless, perhaps, we do not have to gamble our options at all, unless you like the proposed changes and you do prefer not to have epic items below iLvl 200 in the point Marketplace. For everyone else that disagrees, we can still provide feedback about these modifications, as they are being discussed at the moment. Speaking to rule out modifications that disfavor our game-play experience would prevent the Twinker communities to take unnecessary risks.

Elipas, you are correct about 70-79s who can run Sunwell or Black Temple for BiS gear and 78-79s is basically crafted gear, but, the twinks who got slammed were the 60s since now Naxx items won't be available. T3 and Naxxramas Items are so much more OP then the gear that you get even from AQ40.

Adding on to this, besides the fact that this would discourage people from making twinks, it would likely further unbalance and polarize the PvP scene (which is already somewhat inactive). It would be the veterans with their Brutal/T3/Sunwell gear from bugged fights against newer twinks who would have Merciless gear at the most (which is still a rarity), T2/T2.5 (some of which is unobtainable e.g. Nefarian), or a set of gear which is inferior due to bugged Sunwell fights.

I suppose the removal of this gear is because of the point squish and the difficulty it would present to put a price on the items, since there's not really any benefit to removing the items that I can see other than that.

By this thread I can state that the removal of <ilvl 200 is not a pleasant idea.
Hopefully, Warmane will read this thread so they can get some feedback from twinkers' PoV.

Well if they're going for Blizz-Like, retail did everything possible to get rid of twinks, they it will be the same here.
MoP is gonna take a major hit for our realm lack low level dungeons and whatnot, we, well our expansion is pretty much SCREWED.
