Bug involving herbalism and guild?

Hello, I recently joined and started leveling, got herbalism as a skill but didn't leveled it. I was clicking herbs to update my gatherer add--on and realized that even though i don't have the skill points to gather it, the game displayed "Received gather of Herb_name in Place from Charachter (Guild)".

I have no idea if it really gives my guild the herbs or not but my question is, is it normal? Or is it a bug? I'm asking before trying to post in the bug tracker because i have no idea if it's fixed or is it just my add-on or something.

Edit: I just tested without the add-on and apparently it was a problem with it because it doesn't tell me anymore that the guild received, sorry for the trouble.

This is just your gatherer addon comunicating/sharing the positions of "nodes" (places where gather materials will respawn). This has nothing to do with your skill but with your addon setting alone.
