Login error 2316

I'm an old player from AT and decided to come back to wotlk. When I try to logon to the server with set realmlist logon.warmane.com I get an error 2316. Haven't been able to figure out what that error is because I'm not entirely sure where blizzard stores those logs. I get a response when I ping but unable to connect client-side. Any tips? Because of my major I'm fairly computer literate so I'm willing and able to delve deep to solve this problem I just need some guidance :p.

I will update with any information requested ASAP. Trying to be as helpful to this problem for everybody including myself.

you must have firewall or security software who block you connect that 2316 error is known as connect problem error.
1.turn off firewall or ecurity software.
2. download new in-game downloader from warmane wow with new models or old one

I made an exception for wow in my firewall. I will try the downloader.

Ah I see there are two options in download for Wotlk

I have the original I will try the (old) now and get back to you. I have to leave for class but I will be back in a few hours.

The (old) worked for me. I don't know what the difference is between the two. I haven't tried to figure it out but if I had to guess one is 3.3.5a and the other 3.3.5b

They are the same version. The only thing that changes between them is that the new one has Warlords of Draenor textures for players and NPCs, along with Cataclysm waters. It may crash in low and mid-end PCs and even in some high-end ones.

It`s not only the textures, but the models as well. And the crash is a memory overflow one which can be fixed as described here: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/th...-aware.112556/

Well it didn't crash or anything I just couldn't connect to the logon server with it.
