Just wanted to share some of the stupidity of BG in alliance. Was bored and decided to do BG watched as whole team go for one tower and all the flags. Being a TBC vet i knew that 3 bases > 1Base + all flag. when you suggest them they call you a noob for teaching them how to play properly and saying that their tacts works.

Well I'm sure it happens on retail too...nothing new.
In this case you 2 choices, try hard to win with the few understanding what to do or just have fun killing hordes. Eventually they will learn from their failures (unlikely).

horde is the same, i just played vs a premade with 3 wars+mwmonk+druidresto. all 522.
It was Wsg and i could easy get 2 Flags with my rog and kill their lonely resto shaman with our flag. We won. ( Our best ilvl was me with 506^^ ) Other of my team around 490.
Yea sure they had all 33 Kills, but they lost^^ Always just 1 guy with our flag who die in 1 shadow dance xD
Or other Bg where i can cap ( and hold ) a Base while a 522 War AND a Mage stay there, rly just use noggenfogger and they are to stupid to see you...Edited: September 22, 2015

In general you are right. It is dumb for a whole team to go anywhere together in EOTS and also I agree that in TBC it was 100% of the time better 3 bases > 1 base + all flag. However, I will concede that in MoP there is a lot more speed, and some classes are geared much better for flag running especially if played right. Two fast smart flag runners with a gate shortcut can gain points fast. I've been in a few where we only owned 1 base the entire game, and ran all the flags with 2 runners and won by a ton.
