Lag spikes

I seem to be getting a lot of lag spikes, for example: When I move i might see everyone around me walking in place for 2-3 seconds then see them teleport ahead or something. Or in the middle of boss fights everything just stops and then 10 things happened before the game catches up showing me with 10 debuffs or something. Or even when casting skills it lags showing my character doing the cast animation but no cast bar or anything and 3 seconds later I casted the skill.

This happens randomly, could happen every 1 minute or every 3 minutes or even every 10 minutes etc.
Not sure what the issue is but does anyone else experience this and is there a way to fix it? It gets really annoying.

Note: I play on the wotlk servers and nothing like that happens there. I have 80ms on both wotlk and mop.
