1. Point shop on Mists of Pandaria and Cataclysm.

Alright, we will go straight to the point. In the Wrath of the Lich King points shop, you can buy the Glorenzelg, High Blade of the Silver Hand, which drops from the Lich King. On Cataclysm, the highest raiding weapon you can buy is a ****ty weapon from Bastion of Twilight. So my question is, how come Wrath of the Lich King players can get Glorenzelg from the Lich King, while we can't get the Cataclysm equivelent, Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps? Same thing goes with Mists.

  2. my guess would be because the raids aren't open for yo to obtain them in game yet. where as they are in wotlk.

  3. You can obtain Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps in-game.

  4. This is a good point. The idea of the marketplace for wotlk was to augment your gear by slowly slowly getting a piece from the vote shop. But all the items in the vote shop for cata are the equivalent of ulduar level at best. They are 2 raids behind the current content where as for wotlk they are the current raid. Perhaps there are more people with hc gear on wotlk than cata, and if thats the case then the point shop should provide firelands normal gear at least

  5. This is just..really bad.
To put it simply, items that are now in cata point shop( won't talk about mop because I don't play there) are totally USELESS.

You can get better ones(vicious 377) in the AH with 1.5k gold!, gold which you can farm in less than 10 minutes with a profession. I mean seriously, WTF?

I mean wotlk point shop gets the highest ilvl items non-heroic( icc drops!!) and us? We get what? Not even 403 ilvl, not even 397, not even 391, not even damn 378 which you can easily farm with justice points..we get 359 and 365 ilvl items...LOL.

I mean, really? It's totally useless, those items are no help at all.

If it's not fully completed and more items needs to be added then just post a statement or something, cause if not..then cata is just doomed..

  6. Lol ikr, same in mop market, you can get max 476 gear while in game its 522........ +cost is higer than in wotlk market while there are good items actually.

  7. This is just..really bad.

Yeah same thing with MoP... U need 1 month + to get a 476 item from shop while in that month u could get full 489 + some 522 valor items + drops from raids...

  8. We understand that the point shop isnt supposed to be a way to get us a full set of gear but I thought the point of it was to get some quality gear pieces that we have a hard time getting to drop.

  9. I hope that the point shop as it is now is not its finished form. If you don't have Legate rank it would take you a month to get 30 points for one piece of average cata gear or three weeks for a nice mog item like Quel'delar. That sword costing 220 old system points is ridiculous. The prices are 1/5 of the old prices, not 1/10 as they should be, and the selection is just as limited as before if not more so (not including mounts, pets, quest items, vanity trinks, or bags *cough*).

I'm tired of this nonsense. On Neltharion the server message about points resetting said Sept 1st but the reset didn't happen until the 3rd (so people saving points for something big like Ashes of A'lar could have had 20 more points toward it) and the message stayed up for about a week after the reset. Info on the new system was only put in the WotLK point shop thread. Posts on the forums and servers implied that the new point shop would be in place within a few days, not a month. If this is the new point shop, why no announcement? If it's not, again why no announcement saying 'hey don't buy from here yet the prices are still messed up'?

Warmane, you could have handled this a whole lot better.

  10. Yeah, for example, the old system, 1 part of my transmog set -> 42 points now It's like 120 points lol, I thought you wanted just to lower the numbers like
    100 points item = 10 points 10 points / day = 1 point / day
    Ehh, I'm confused a bit.

  11. Marketplace Point Cost Confusion/Problem

Hi, if you guys haven't noticed, the Marketplace is back.. Two weeks after the intended deadline.
Points are already squished and method of gaining points also changed. I am fine with that.
But my problem, and other people who shared the same feeling is and is asking why...
Why are items in the Marketplace EXPENSIVE? I mean, I wanted to xmog my rogue some axes.
I figured i'd choose some cool ones pre-mop so they cost lesser, but to my surprise..
Blood Fury costs 19 points? and Faction change just cost 15? thats like 190 points from before?
Didn't Kaer say that "158 points would become 15 points, an item that currently costs 58 points will cost 5 points" ?
And the different response from GMs/Mods confuses me more. I asked Mercy and Aldtharios with the same questions,
Mercy said: "Its working as intended"
Aldtharios said: "Its subject to change"
I'm so confused, and disappointed. If its subject to change, why release it?
and if its working as intended, GMs make false promises?

  12. Why did Kaer say "if current 158 points would become 15 points, an item that currently costs 58 points will cost 5 points" but not implement it?

  13. Why did Kaer say "if current 158 points would become 15 points, an item that currently costs 58 points will cost 5 points" but not implement it?
I would like to know as well.

  14. And the different response from GMs/Mods confuses me more.
The Mods ands GMs i contacted had very different responses as well, are they maintaining contact with each other? lol
