getting gear in tbc

forgive me for the noobish question, but since i only arrived at the end of tbc on retail, and since a lot of people here are gearing up in dungeons and raids (apparently it is much better than battlegrounds right now), i wonder how i'm supposed to gear up in heroics and raids since keys (attunement) are a necessity? Is there an order of things i have to do ?

normals to honored buy the key from quartermaster then run heroics =)

so i have to farm normal content till honored, ok.
And then, afterwards, where do i find the quartermaster, what are the tokens we gain from dungeons, or the dungeon currency? (if there are any)

I wouldn't waste too much time on getting gear that will be replaced in 2-3 weeks or whatever.
Better farm some gold or lvl up alts ;p

Dunno just questing normally and doing the dungeons in the the zone 1 or 2 times was enough for me to reach honored i had all the keys before i was 70.
