Is it possible to link an item with an emote macro?

/e jiggles his [Empty Hip Flask] and sighs. < Is the emote; I'd like to link the empty hip flask I have.

Result 1: It works.
Result 2: It doesn't work.

It's not a bug or anything, you shouldn't be able to link it in /e ;)
