Items of Power Quest Bug

Hello, I'm writing to ask about the mage class specific quest named "Items of Power". I'm at the part where you are asked to collect witherbark totem sticks from witherbark trolls and when you have collected 10 of them you have to turn them to a bolt charged bramble. That's where it gets tricky, you use the sticks at the stone in the arathi highlands and then you wait for it to get charged and nothing happens after that. Is it some known bug or am I doing something wrong, need some feedback on the matter as this quest is needed for a wand I need.
