1. Semi-New/Noob Wow Player reporting in

Hey guys! Ever since I watched the Warcraft trailer, I realized how much I miss the in-game world of WoW, which is what brought me here!
Used to play WoW in HS (2007?), but never really got over level 50ish, therefore I'm hoping to try a server here that I can level faster. I have a few questions that I've tried finding answers to on the forums, but some seem to be outdated... Thanks in advance for helping!

    1. This topic that I found on google seems to state that Deathwing and Ragnaros have different rates, but the General FAQ says otherwise. Are they just two different servers with the same exact rates? What other differences are there, and which one would you recommend?

    2. I do like to spend some $, and I'm definitely looking to buy more gold for my character to start off with. Apparently Lordaeron doesn't have this feature in its marketplace (correct me if I'm wrong) but Deathwing/Ragnaros do. Just wondering, how much gold (approx) can I get per coin?

    3. A lot of the PvP servers that I've tried don't really open up the WoW world to players, does Blackrock? I'd like the option to fly around Stormwind City in some cool looking gear and hack some creeps once in a while with free top-tier gear, so I'm hoping I can at least do some PvE-ing on Blackrock. Please tell me PvE isn't turned off in Blackrock?

    4. Lastly, what the hell are Transmogs?!

If you haven't noticed, I'm very noob to this game, and I definitely enjoy the RP aspect to WoW more than PvP. I really hope Warmane is suited to what I'm looking for!

  2. 1) They are the same rates. X7.

    2) You can check on the marketplace Trade section for current Gold:Coin conversions.

    3) No. There is no flying in Azeroth in Wrath. Nor is their PvE on either of the PvP realms.... ALL other realms have PvE and PvP. Cata and MOP realms allow flying.

4: No, that was Cataclysm where changes to the world happened.

    5) Transmog (Cata and MOP) allow you to take one item of armor/weapon and make it look like another without effecting any of the stats on the item.

If you enjoy Roleplay I hear there is a fairly active community on Frostwolf (MOP) which you might be interested in joining. Frostwolf would also allow you to PvE and PvP, along with flying.

  3. Thanks a lot Kemii, that answers a lot of things I was confused about. I do prefer WotLK and earlier though (more familiar), so I'm fine with not flying in Azeroth.
