Good ways to earn gold?

I am currently trying to earn enough for epic flying mount before the WotLK is out. I was planning to earn some gold with professions, but seeing as it's impossible to get Fel Iron Ore that dream is dead, so I am wondering how would one farm gold before the expansions? Kill mobs somewhere? Is it even possible to acquire 5k gold in that short amount of time?

What class are you? If yore melee, Naga in Zangarmarsh. Lots of blue/green/cloth. (the slaves interrupt u so no caster)

ANy class/casters can do slimes and birds in Hellfire

Best way to get gold:

1: raiding
2: questing
3: professions
4: grinding

I have used titanbar since it was started, and the "gold per hour"-feature is great for testing out the best way to get gold and so far raiding with a good group gives the most per hour, EASY....

Hehe no more like raiding shouldn't even be in the list... Sure you get some gold from the bosses but that's barly anything... If it was a real list.
1: grinding/proffesion (depends what you have)
2: (questing) but not really as effiance as farming.

Some mobs drop way too much loot but they are ranged.

I've done plenty of oozes run when people are not there sooo that's a overstatement.

I farmed for 50 minutes with 3-6 other people.
But than this guy




came on his ashes of alar and started oneshoting everybody.
