Need help , can't log in.

When I open the game and try to login in , it says there needs to be an update. The game sits at 0% for completion then asks me to restart my game . I do so.. It then says patch fails to apply. Rinse and repeat. What do i do to get into game?

There should be no updating involved. Ever.

Make sure you haven't moved or changed any of the game files. There is a lot of information missing from your post and the problem could be any number of things. A common mistake almost everyone I have brought to the game has made is moving the WoW.exe out of the folder it came from onto one's desktop to serve as a shortcut, causing problems similar if not identical to yours. If you have done this, simply move the WoW.exe back to the folder it came from.
