Cataclysm How to maximize dps as an Arms Warrior?

Hi there Warrior community!

I'm a nelf warrior in Neltharion, Cataclysm. I have been playing arms for quite a while now, and although I'd say I'm far from mastering the class, I feel I've become quite good with it. However, I sometimes wonder if there's anything escaping me. I'm currently almost BiS, except for the 397 Twilight currled claw ring I'm still using, until I get to loot the HC version. I sometimes perform really well in terms of dps in DS (upwards to 70-80k dps in the best encounters), but sometimes, doing the exact priority system rotation, using the same prepot, trinkets, cds, etc, I struggle to maintain 30k dps.
I feel like sometimes after a wipe I can't seem to land a single crit in the next battle. Given how oddly things sometimes work here, I thought I'd ask. Is there any bug in the warrior arms which makes our dps sometimes suck for no reason?

Also, I haven't been able to find any relevant and updated information about the warrior in Neltharion. Do we have to hit any Hit or expertise cap? I'm at 5.83 and 14, respectively. I don't know if I should up hit to 8%.

Also, feel free to share in this thread any tips or advice to improve the DPS in end game content. I'm sure I, and many other people, could use the insight of more veteran players.

I really think arms warriors don't work here like they did on retail. Look at world of logs for any hc dragon soul fight and you won't see the best warriors prioritizing slam like they do on this server. I've been on many DS runs with BiS arms warriors and recount logs show they all prioritize slam almost 2 - 3 times more than MS, OP or HS. When I ask what their rotation is I get the same answer, "use slam more." According to every guide on the net slam is never the priority but here it seems to be.

Hmmmm, I hadn't thought about that. I myself am not a big slam prioritiser. I'll try to use it more from now on, and see if I can do more dps (not very concerned about that) and have a more stable dps (very concerned about that).

On retail i played it like MS>Slam>overpower (colossus smash on cooldown) and spam heroic strike between.
Worked well for me, allways #1-4 on DS w/o good gear
