Can't connect, installed on external drive(mac)

Hello,

I'm new to this community and I've just got a quick question.

I downloaded "Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a" to Mac, and I've got it all downloaded to my external drive. Now there's a reason for that and it's that I obviously don't have enough space on my macbook air.. So what I would like to do is to run the game from my external drive. Is it possible?

The problem i'm getting is that I can't connect, the game launches fine, but when I type my Warmane account&password. It says "Can't connect, try again later or contact Blizzard". This made me check the realmlist.wtf and I've updated accordingly to the guides on this website, and it still doesn't work.

Is there anyone who've tried this before and maybe solved it?

There should be no difference between running it on the main disk and on an external drive.
