Forum Downloaded WotLK wont work on Mac

Hi, I decided to try WoW after a few years. But when I downloaded content from the download link and tried to run the application it stated "The application "World of Warcraft" cant be opened." Im new to MacOS so i have no idea what to do, plus i tried the manual install but when i reach patch 3.2.2a to 3.3.0 same error happens with the blizzard updater.
