1. Molten. Molten never changes.

In the year 2014, my great-great past self, disappointed by how things were being handled, wondered when he'd get to play on Molten again and enjoy the content available. He got his wish when Hermes ended Molten by deleting everyone's characters, forcing Kaer and BeepBeep to return and recreate the server under a new name.

The community awaited Armageddon; instead, something miraculous happened. Lordaeron; World's most complete and hardcore Wrath of the Lich King realm. We began to progress through the legacy content not out of boredom, but as an actually enjoyable source of entertainment. People enjoyed luxuries once thought the realm of science fiction. Working quests, path-finding mobs, populated zones outside of the capital cities. But then, come progression through the Burning Crusade end-game content, people awoke from the Warmane dream.

Years of hype and false promises lead to quick assumptions that the initial efforts of management had declined and disappointment was yet again just around the corner. The entire business scheme unraveled - World's most complete and hardcore Wrath of the Lich King realm became a distant memory.

It is now December 4th, 2015. We stand on the brink of Northrend, and I am afraid. For myself, for my guild, for my hopes and dreams that this server will not become as the others before it - but if my time on this server has taught me one thing: it's that Molten, Molten never changes.

    Spoiler: Show
Sunwell is open for testing on the PTR
As for Black Temple, it will be up as soon as the issues with some of the bosses have been resolved

It's been closed for three weeks now. Working hard or hardly working (on TBC content?)
6 days left to the alleged release date of Northrend and still no Sunwell Plateu - I've also been told that Black Temple is expected not to be released at all while Kael'Thas is still long forgotten. Any update on this matter? After all:

    Spoiler: Show
The ultimate cause deciding Lordaeron's long-term population will be based on whether we manage to keep the first impression up as we progress to the end-game in classic, the Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, which will be very challenging but we're up to the task.

Naturally first days and weeks will be rough as people may encounter new end-game issues that staff hasn't been able to notice during internal tests, but how fast and how well we resolve those issues is what will be most important. Lordaeron's population must reflect what it deserves as a realm.

Multiple threads regarding these issues have remained unanswered by staff officials while others closed and/or deleted tagged with "staff disrespect". Disrespect or not, it doesn't change the fact that these issues persist and worry the servers dedicated community of what is to come.

I was under the impression that with the recreation of what is now Warmane there would be a substantially more transparent communication between staff and community, but as the initial parades of Kaer's return have died down I can't help but notice that these promises have yet again declined, as is Molten tradition.

So, could we perhaps get another reassuring speech of what is to come, or are we going to remain neglected and worried in silence - as is Molten tradition.(?)

  2. I feel you, the key to everything, not only on private servers, but in real-life is this, INFORMATION. Keeping people posted on what is going on, what they're planning doing here on next, but there is no information here whatsoever, just a release date and a lot of broken promises. I seriously don't understand why they claim that they're Hardcore and Worlds most complete server when people are publishing forums threads explaining stuff and trying out to help the developers, but no, they get dismissed and neglected. I dont know if I should switch server again or stay here. I really wan't to, but I like I've been stabbed in the back.

People told me that this is not the old Molten where people were put behind the shadows and let down again, and again, again. But slowly but surely I began feeling unsecure about this project.

But I will test out their content when it's released at December 10th, but I know this, I am prepared to switch.

  3. yeah gms not commenting here alot, but still i think tbc and vanilla was fine (compared to the past molten realms) i think they just need time, but now its like there is no bugtracker - issues there stand still for months. im sure some are fixed and just not reported but i know there are alot of unfixed bugs that just not looked upon or just too hard to fix- i dont know. anyway i just think they should make the bugtracker abit more serious so ppl will see there is actual activity to try to fix the bugs or at least release the fixes implemented in each restart coz there is almost none now.
so ppl like Arcane will be able to sleep at night without fear in their hearts

  4. This kind of thinking really harms the realm. You, as a guild, and many other guilds are harming the realm with assumptions that have no place in any discussion board. Especially with us informing you on every step possible. We have been on the global channel for hours answering questions, have GMs that answer tickets and probably highest activity of any private server board and you say "silence".

The reason why we take such a stand is because even though we post and invest time in informing you as a community, multiple hours of testing things and showing you how things will be worked on, you and many other guilds behave like we have no communication and like nothing is happening and like we aren't working on them.

Naxxrammas/Obsidian Sanctum/Eye Of Eternity today itself receive a huge amount of fixes and by the time of it's release will be completely ready for content consumption. They will be also fine-tuned so they're hard akin to the hardcore theme of the realm.

Black Temple and Sunwell are the roster to be released, had to be kept due to the issue that arose but will be released before Wrath of the Lich King. Keep in mind that this is not a TBC server and it was never meant for people to spend a long time in TBC but we still want all the raids to be on a very satisfying level which is why we'll release them as soon as they're completely ready. (ETA before WoTLK release, so imminent release).

These kind of threads where you say false promises really demotivate the actual team. We haven't promised anything that we haven't already delivered or don't plan on delivering and these threads also allow people who haven't played here to continue being toxic trolls. On an average basis most of the people that complain have never created a character on Lordaeron and haven't even logged in a long while. This is why, we as staff, sometimes close these threads but never without replying to the original poster or addressing the actual subject of the thread.

The reassuring speeches are plenty, maybe even too much for my taste but you shouldn't really worry, we're here and we're doing our job best we can and we will continue to do so.

To avoid the general randonmess of these threads and other toxic players that desire to make a crack in our identity, I'll close this thread. The OP and everyone else interested or having doubts can PM me for answers.
