1. Im a new player and I need a lot of info

    So i just want to know stuff about the game.For example i would like to know why does my dungeon finder only searches for WOTLK dungeons,or general info about big raids like the ones where you fight The Lich King or Illidan.

  2. the DF is searching only for wotlk ones, because each has a maximum level, before it becomes too easily overwhelmed by higher level characters :)

    The raids, they have tough mobs, which need more powerful attacks and heals, and more people to deal different tricks like taking aggro, focus different things, sometimes even split on two... There are three difficulties for most of them, Raid Finder (not sure if on wotlk though..) - pretty much hit hard (ofc not only), you queue on those like rdf, 25 people, 2 tanks, 6 healer, 17 dps, i queue as heal and play dps until the moment when additional healing is required :D (mop tot rf is boooooring), it is way, way easier and doesn't require much strategy;
    10 / 25 - here, you make a group with some other players, prepare strategy together (i.e., who will change to heal for a more troublesome boss, how to trick him into trolling himself, remind the spells of the boss, choose a priority list, and, for the lolz/bugz, even think of a way to cheat and defeat him xD), or sometimes just decide to go straight in the blue, and discover the bosses by yourself (Ra-den hi! ^^). You go to the place on foot (ok, in rp situations, else usually teleport by a lock or mage), and this is much more of a challenge, because we can way more easily wipe... And, you can't run to your body while a boss is being attacked, because tge instance enterance gets a lockdown.. The items from the bosses are literally Op, but you can play a raid (unless with the same group) only once a week, so that you dont go all the time and get all things in no time (or deenchant them) - Raid Lock, /raidinfo to check expire... Basically, you should think more here, because you must take decisions and act quick!
    In raids, blizzard also tries to put some more Lore, though it is basically "He is bad and is threataning Azeroth / is keeping captive a hero, rescue him; now go and kill him! (sometimes with npc help, which is playing major role like ressurecting whole raid (lich king), unlocking a protected door with the help of the players, etc; or, just putting a story in - Lorewalker Cho), there are dialogues, nice threats from the boss...
    And you get a shiny new achievement that shows that you have passed the raid :)
