1. Im lost... really have no idea what should I do.

So I always enjoyed playing WoW,mostly 24/7 started it with 6-7 , now Im 16. I cant even count that high as the time Ive played it.
But thats not the case... The case is Ive quited playing WoW for say 5-6 months now? And I have missed it for every moment I havent played, I want to start playing again, but since I quit playing I have been more succesful in school, with friends ETC... I want to start playing again but since the hijack thingy.... its just not the same.

So my question is... or rather I want to hear your opinions, should I give it one more shot or just give it up...? Really appreciated .

  2. If wow runs ya life to the point of failing in school and you cant find the time to hang out with friends in between playing then its better to stay away and not let the game rule life for you.

  3. Its not exactly running my life, I was still good in school, and with friends, its just that I didnt have that much free time as I do now, but I never failed in school nor with friends because of WoW.

  4. Play again but casually, dont devote all your spare time to it. Im 29 and have kids etc and i love playing when i have the spare time! Sometimes only a few hrs a week but i still really enjoy it.

  5. I always took a WoW as my part of the world that's free of most worries. Use it like that and all will be good.
Play it in your free time, between studies and school etc. It's all doable just fine.

  6. If you didnt change wow addiction for some other worst addiction stay away :P

Gaming has been proven to be meditative and healthy; even so much so that it's used for mentally unstable and substance abuse patients.
The problem with people whom claim to be addicted to gaming is that they have a hard time facing some aspect(s) of reality and find safety in the game; thus it's the person not the activity.
I don't game outside of WoW and even then I'm not hard core. To say I'm biased is incorrect. Just do a little research about the topic and you'll see.

Everyone needs a way to escape reality if they want to stay balanced. The problem being, as I stated above, it's easy to find safety in a false reality and hide in it. In respect to that though, if you're denying your self something you enjoy you'll be living painfully in reality, which is just as bad.

The only true answer is to be balanced and take responsibility for your actions. Game if you like it but know when to take a break. Eventually you'll either grow out of gaming and pursue a new hobby, or embrace it fully and learn to practice a life long discipline (if not be consumed by it, like the *****s who claim addiction).

A lesson I've learned through personal trials that can be applied to any enjoyable aspect of life (not just gaming!).

  8. Gaming can be relaxing but only if you are casual, it means that you should not waste most of the day for gaming. For me ~3-4h per day, 5 days per week is enough to enjoy game completely, while maintaining healthy life, hanging out with friends, not failing university or work in spare time.
Just dont play all day and you will be fine.

  9. I would agree with all above. With that said, some people have an addictive personality. It sounds like you may have had one in the past...and although you know in your heart that what everyone here is saying is spot on good advice...some folks just cant resist.

I would say however that at your age, even though you were maintaining good grades before while devoting so much time to wow...now is the time when grades, extra curricular activities, clubs and such play a very important role into getting into the next step after high school. Assuming of course you want to and plan to go to college....I would suggest (given your past tendencies) to leave wow alone completely and focus on being the best you can be in prep for the next step. Now is the time your future is being decided, and while we all have fun playing wow, its so much MORE fun for those that are successful in life as well as successful in-game.

    Best of luck!

  10. Dont you have any willpower at all? Just set a time of the day when you can play, like 2 hrs before bed or something fitting your schedule.

  11. Fokin get back here, donate all yo money, quit school, screw friends, steal parents credit cards, donate more, baricade yourself in your room, put blankets on all your room windows, because sun is evil light created by goverment to brainwash you, and dont forget to pray to My Little Pony and Shrek.
Also, dont mind the voices that appear, they are our friends, just listen to them.

Dont do drugs and drive safe *kisses*.

    Hope I helped.
