Before I joined the Warmane/Lordaeron community in October I was hunting around private servers/checking out the state of retail and didn't really know what option to choose. It is very difficult to find detailed reviews on private servers that are available and most of what you make your judgement on is what you can read on the forums. If you are thinking about joining this server I really stress please take everything you read on here with a pinch of salt!
This forum is full of people moaning post after post and it really doesn't do it justice just how good/blizzlike this server really is.
In fact its f**king fantastic.
I am currently at the point where I am levelling in Northrend and I have had one quest bug out on me on route. Every dungeon has been scripted to a level I would expect in a blizzard game and any problems there have been have been sorted efficiently by the team behind this.
I love this server and am so glad I decided to give it go despite being severely put off by reading through the forums. All I am saying really is if you are thinking about playing, give the game a chance itself and let that do the talking, don’t be put off by the moany b****ards that take up most of the space on this forum.
I do accept that the server is not perfect and does have some slight issues (most of which are being worked on) e.g. queues but I will be amazed if you find a better free version of WOTLK anywhere else (please do point me in the direction if so!). I also accept I haven’t reached the end game material and I will update this post once I am there.
If new players thinking about joining have any questions please feel free to ask and I do intend to bulk this post out a bit for further advice/reviews as I progress through the game.
I just wanted to get this out there for any players like myself who nearly miss this great server.

You're overexaggerating. The days during which I am online and playing, I spend about an hour on these forums, and we definitely do not share the same notion. I'm actually happy that the forums are moderately active, and that there often times are useful and constructive posts to find.

Your missing the point of this whole post, I am not criticising the posts on here or the people posting I am merely informing those thinking of playing not to think these posts are meaning its a bad server. I know from first hand experience that reading through the forums and the many problems being discussed I was very nearly put of playing and had the thought wow this server must be pretty rubbish, seems to be a load of problems. I am merely suggesting people give the game a try before deciding for themselves. Yes its very useful for people to post their thoughts and issues on here and I agree this is great but that is not the point of this thread at all.

No because thats the way it comes across, especially to new visitors. I'm not saying you or other users are actually like that i'm giving my opinion on how it can seem and trying to help new players get into this game of ours and grow our community,
Again this thread isn't aimed at existing users and tbh you are proving my point brilliantly with the moaning :')
The idea to take is this game is great and everyone should try it :D

Give this man a cookie. When this realm was first announced people complained about rdf and up untill today when they're complaining about ques (i don't want to list every topic they complained about cause it would probably take all day). And the worst part? 99% of Lordaeron forum topics are complaining (just browse 2-3 pages of the latest the topics and you'll see). It's ironic since Lordaeron is awesome, but it's just goes to show that humans love more to complain about 5% that's not working, than to congradulate on 95% that's working.

The only real issue with this server is the community. The players during EU time are complete *** clowns and will farm you, even if you vanished for literally hours, so don't revenge gank no matter what unless you want them to get their main! No one talks even during EU prime time and around 7pm in NA, it is complete silence.

deal with it human nature makes us notice the negative behavior more than the positive, u can last in a job eternity without problems and 1 time u screw up and boom - your boss will see u as a loser till the end of times.
there are exceptions but thats how it is most of the times and im sure gms here in warmane knows it (or every1 working retail) but nice of u to give some positive feedbacks, i think the server is fine too - big improvment from the old lordaeron - so many bugs. the ques are a problem tho
