Pandaria item transfer

hey guys this may sound like a noob question but..

i have some of those heirloom item sets on cata that i got when the big reset happened and i have never really played cata they are just sitting on my characters.

is there anyway of getting those sets transfered from cata to mop or are they just gonna go to waste and i will have to buy new ones?

You gotta get new ones, the staff won't do any transfer of items let alone between xpacs.
