First find your priorities. Even after years of 3.3.5a there will still be new things every day.
If you want some help with classes overall, PvE- or PvP-content, try to make your question a bit more specific.
Best answers I can give you are right here:

It may sound silly but just play the game! I remember when I started playing WoW, I had no idea how anything worked. But, that's what made it really fun, everything was so new!
For starters, figure out if you want to focus on PvP or PvE. If you like PvE, figure out what you want to specialize in (tanking, healing, DPS). From there, you can start working your way from dungeons to easy raids. Once you've geared up you can start tackling slightly harder raids.
I would say that learning things like optimizing different stats and different class based strategies comes with playing more.
Agreed with everything above. When I started to play wow, I tried 4,5 classes up to lvl 20 to figure out which one suits me the best. You can also help yourself with the class section on the forum to find out more. Good luck!
20 lvl only ?
most classes release their potentioal at 70+
completely disagree with the several classes thing, Play one class, potentially an all rounder like paladin/druid to max level, you can then see how and what other classes are about when you explore the game and pick a class/professions to settle with if you're not happy with your current one.
he's lucky he gets to play for free what i and millions of others had to pay to do back in retail wotlk.
but yeah, great advice.
RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!! ><
Cuz thats realistic
Give a good view for class basics/descriptions before rush to levelling loooong time at Lordaeron. You may find class boring or not suitable for personal style, no matter what others told.
Like i never enjoy play my rogues, no matter it's op class. I can't help it, but i think it's for pussies. Backstabbing, stealth, making enemy totally paralyzed unable to make def or offence. It's just not for me, i've tried to like it but no... i felt it was like kicking my grandmom at the mall.
I'm not talking about reaching potential of a certain class, I'm talking about general starting feeling. If you have 2months of free time lvling every certain class to 70, go ahead.
Sure , use google .
