1. New player, almost every horde guild has 6-7 raid days, why?

Hello, only 1 month ago I stopped playing retail, and a friend told me about warmane and deathwing. I made a character yesterday and leveling him up on the horde side. As a veteran to wow, but noobie to warmane and deathwing itself, my question is why are the top guilds that I was looking at, raid almost every day for 3-4 hours a day. Maybe I am not undstandumg something, maybe it does not work the same as on retail? Are all raids mandatory? Or are they just saying that they raid everyday, but not the same 25 people log on every time? I mean, I was a hardcore raider on retail and during wrath was in top 80 guild, we raided 3 days a week and cleared everything.

Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance, it's really important to me because I just miss wotlk raiding, and don't want to spend all the time leveling and gearing only to find out that to be in a raiding guild you have to be active for the whole 6-7 raid days lol.

What you are asking here is if every raiding guild on your server raid almost every day for a few hours and you have to participate.
There will be some guilds that do that and loads of guilds don't do that, look on the forums for Deathwing server the recruitment section http://forum.warmane.com/forumdispla...89-Recruitment . there you will see guilds advertising and they will tell you exactly what they look for in a new member.

  3. Hey thanks for the reply, I already did read that sub forum FYI, hence why I wanted a more detailed answer to my post, and I did look at like 12 guilds and they all pretty much say the same thing raid every day, that is why I wanted a detailed answer from some of the people maybe in those guilds.

  4. Guilds don't expect everyone to join every raid. They usually have more players than a raid needs. There are more raids per week because people want to gear their alts while joining main raids with main characters usually. Those raids consist of both alts and mains who didn't join the first raid so not everyone has to join the other raids. As far as I know on retail you had the same group of people for every raid and everyone had to be online. Here in most guilds it's not like that and instead there are more people in guild and raid is made from those who are online for it or have signed up if guild uses such system.

  5. To gear alts my old guild used raid almost everyday we had main runs and alt runs and toc 25 for lowbies in guild roster sometimes we'd do Uldar just for kicks this actually how hardcore guilds work they are always raiding.
