1. A question about donation mounts

I really want to gift my boyfriend a raptor mount, but I know that raptors are horde mounts and we are alliance. Yet I see no horde icon near the mount in the store. Question is... If I buy it, can he mount it?

  2. if you mean this the Fossilized Raptor, yes an Ally can use it. I have one and acquired it via Archelogy - random and freak thing that I got it at archelogy level 200. Attempting to replicate the luck in my other toons have proved to be almost impossible though.. But an Ally can use the mount - profile pict of mine is the proof..

  3. There are two raptors on the marketplace, and neither of them are faction-specific mounts (Fossilized Ratpor (like Kano above explained) and Savage Raptor), so you should be fine purchasing them. If an item on the marketplace is faction-specific, it will be marked with an Alliance or Horde symbol within the marketplace interface.

  4. Thank you very much, but I mean the raptors you have in your store that I can buy with coin. Like orange swift raptor. Still not fraction specific?

  5. I didn't check that one specifically. Like I stated above, if it is faction specific, it will be marked on the panel with an Alliance or Horde symbol.

  6. I think using a Horde Mount will depend on the Expansion your boyfriend is playing.. In Cata or WotLK, an Ally toon cannot use a horde mount. But I think in MoP, since mounts are account bound already, you can actually use any and every mount on your toons (though I still have to test this, I only have 1 toon in MoP, an Ally..
