So, I just had a look into the Donation Store and the current items that are available are just overpriced. Honestly, who's going to pay 36 coins (36 euros) for a 20 slot bag on lordaeron which is worth 200 gold in-game.
I think you should edit your pricing for bags, pets, mounts, items, services.
Also, there are only blue and epic items available that literally no one needs. I mean, no one is going to pay 20 coins for a blue level 40 item.
If you want people to donate, make it worth donating.
Also services: Name change ; 5 coins, Race change ; 10 coins, Faction change ; 15 coins

There is noone forcing you to donate if you think the price is too high. It is an option.
The reason behind it is because they want to prevent people getting the best gear by not playing for it, but the donation is a way to both support warmane, and it may help some people gear up. - After what I have understood.
Even tho before someone say to me that I am for sure not a donator, I do actually support people that donate, because they are making the server alive.

I think you didn't really get my point. It's just not worth donating for anything but race / faction / name change. I'm not saying that they should add gear with an itemlevel 200+ into the shop, all im saying that it is overpriced. I mean 36 euros for a bag? Come on, man.

At the start they was not even going to release race / faction / name change, so I guess the people that want to use it should be happy it is a possiblity at all :)
Atleast faction change I understand. The server is very well balanced on the population like 51 % vs 49 % - letting people faction change easy may cause damage to the balance - atleast thats what I think.
Cheap items in general can be used to sell too. Not only for self use, but in a way to earn gold. Not sure how much you can get by doing it, so thats just an idea...
Very difficult to tell a price - but as said, even tho the item does not make a big deal ingame - I guess they still want you to earn it the "correct way", but donation is a way to support the server too.
I migth be wrong and saying some stupid stuff, but thats just some reasons that I guess they have, and reasons some people will agree on..

To be honest, no one is going to buy blue items for their alts and try to resell them as it is not worth it and a lot of these items are soulbound, too.
Same thing about mounts / pets. Most of them are soulbound and if there are a few rare mounts that are not soulbound, the prices should be equal to what is worth in gold, yes. But as you said donation is a way to support the server but yet people want something in return what makes it worth donating. And If im going to make a character on here and I have no gold available but I'm in need for bags and I'm thinking about donating to get some bags in return i would most likely have to pay 180 euros for bags that are worth buying.
I'm not saying every item is overpriced and yea there are a few items that should be expensive such as rare mounts or rare pets.

I understand you in many ways, and I agree the prices are high, but I personally think it is good.
But to answer this part:

How about the fact that when you donate for 22 coins you still are 1 coin short for a BiS items wich is 23 coins, so you have to donate for 33 coins.

Donate or don't. It's whatever, so long as the realm sustains itself. We have no interest in making $$$ gear more accessible on the realm.
Ultimately, a donation is a donation. You are more than welcome to play the game for free.

Yeah, so long as the realm sustains itself as you said. This is in the aftermath of Kaer stating that Lordaeron isn't a financially sustainable model. In terms of PR, when the financial status of the server is thrust into the player base and becomes acceptable for public discussion, it's only natural that the players want to help contribute ideas to keeping their server up and running. The standard, "If you don't like what we do, no one's forcing you to play here," response is one that isn't proactive in finding solutions.
Our ideas might not be consistent with staff instruction or policy, but we really just want to help. We're just concerned.

We've made it pretty clear that these prices will stay as they are, even when the realm funding was an issue. Being "concerned" doesn't invalidate the staff's stance on the matter, no matter how much you want to justify the "suggestion". There's a sizable difference between being "concerned" and trying to force something that obviously is against our design intent for the realm.
I'll be locking this thread now, since we can't keep from being petty.
