So, I'm a kinda new player who's interested in Hunters.
So far I've played a Lock till 20 and a priest till 40.
Neither really clicked with me, or felt too fun to play, sadly. The classes I'm most interested right now are Hunter and Rogue. I know, I know, ranged and meelee, both extremely different.
Rouges seem fun with all their subtelty and pickpocketing stuff, and all those times a rouge has annihalated me... Steath and messing with people just seems fun.
As for Hunters. Well... I like the pets, I like the idk, everything I suppose. They just look tons of fun to play AND really good at leveling... Also a Night Elf Hunter looks amazing lmao.
What would you say? Also, If I decide to go hunter, what profressions would you suggest, I see that leatherworking/skinning and mining/engineering are popular. And what are the specs like, what specs do you level/pvp/pve with?

Yeah leatherworking/skinning is good for hunter (at the beginning) really easy and fast to up while leveling. It gave nice bonus (crit and + 130AP lvl max).
End game best jobs are jewelcraft/engineer i think.
I advise you to levelin in beast, very fast and very good in world pvp (lvl40 your pet 3 shot a mage).
At max lvl i will go MM pve and pvp, because i love the gameplay (and high dps with t7 gear)

Beast Mastery is the absolute best leveling spec.
In PvE, Survival and Beast Mastery can perform somewhat well at low gear, but they don't stand up to Marksmanship dps-wise at higher gear.
In PvP, it's pretty much the same as the preferences by most people in PvE. Marksmanship is the go-to spec for competitive PvP (arena), but both Beast Mastery and Survival can be fun in battlegrounds.
Personally, though, I'd say pick whichever one you think is the most fun or cool, and screw anyone who tries to insist you play a certain spec because "more dps". There really is not enough variety, everyone and their mother is Marksman.
