1. Need some help to start playing here! (Technical problem + A Lot of Doubts)

Hi! I'm not a new player on WoW or Warmane, but i've been having some troubles and this is my last resort: ask and wait for some help. xD
(And i apologize if my english sucks or is too painful to read, Sorry...)

    - - ⇩ - - That part is alredy solved - - ⇩ - -

The first one, and probably the more important: Can't download WotLK Client via torrent (The one that includes new character models from Warlords of Draenor). The reason is simple, the torrent has 0 Seeders, and i've been looking through the forum, but i don't want to follow any guide that doesn't specify if the client includes WoD Models.

So... Can someone guide me to a guide? xD One that has WoD Models.

SOLUTION: I Uninstalled BitSpirit, and installed the last version of UTorrent, usually i don't like this kind of solutions, but it worked! Downloading...

The next troubles that i had aren't that much of "technical difficulties", but more like doubts on how things work now. (I haven't played since early 2015 probably).

So i'll have to start from the beginning, 4 Friends and I want to play together as a party from lvl 1 to 80 if possible, think of it as a D&D Campaign if you want. We'll play once a week going on the same path and quests, always together. At the end, we know that we will play more PvP than PvE, but that's no important right now.

I wanted to play on this Realm in particular (Lordaeron) because of this: http://forum.warmane.com/showthread....lm-Information

It seems that this Realm is "Old school" or "Hardcore", or at least harder for leveling by adding a lot of restrictions, which is good for what we are trying to do, and also has more population than any other realm.

    So my doubts are:

    - Are the quests and leveling zones in good conditions?
    - Will the "Gold drain mechanics" be a problem if we just play once a week?
    - Are there some more restrictions that can be interpreted as "Unnecessary Rules" that i should be aware of?
    - Besides the restrictions, the changelog that makes me think that lordaeron is being updated more often than other realms, and the population: Is it worth it? Should i choose this realm?
    - Are Proffesions working properly?
    - Are Skills (Thinking in PvP) working properly?
    - Don't you think this is a lovely post?
    -
    - Is something else that i should know about?

Bonus Doubt: I know there will be ways to reunite the 5 players at some point, but we want to do it as fast as we can, to start leveling all together from the lowest level possible. Knowing my friends, we won't choose the same races, ann we'll have a heated discussion when choosing a faction... So, what ways do you know to do this? We specificaly want to know if the "Meeting Stone Summon" thing works (I don't remember how was called).

(I haven't played WotLK for 5 years at least, I think i should have said this earlier...)

Well that's all, i hope to get some questions answered, it took more than 30 minutes to write this little post.... Thank you for reading!

  2. Quests and leveling zones are in rather good condition. Most quests are scripted and work, even harder ones which don't work on the old realms. If you're casuals, these mechanics shouldn't affect you much. It is doubtful when and if they'll be implemented at all. Another thing to note is that RDF is turned off, which means you can't queue for dungeons but instead have to gather a group and travel to the dungeon's summoning stone, but I see that's not a problem for you :) Yes, Lordaeron is Warmane's flagship realm so it receives a lot of attention and will continue to. Professions work, yes. Skills also work, with minor bugs being found here and there all the time but they're being addressed.

Regarding factions, usually Alliance are always more than Horde, but on Lordaeron they're almost equal with a 51:49 Horde:Alliance ratio. If you all roll orcs and trolls or dwarves and gnomes, you'll start in the same zone. There is also transportation available which can make things easier regardless of race choice. You could use the Deeprun tram between Ironforge and Stormwind to get your dwarven and gnomish characters together with the humans. If you have tauren characters willing to play with orcs and trolls, you can catch the zeppelin from Thunder Bluff to Orgrimmar, or if you have blood elf or Forsaken characters, you can travel from Silvermoon to Undercity and then catch the zeppelin from Brill to Orgrimmar. All of this takes no more than 10-15 minuties and from that point you can play together no matter what race you've chosen. Except night elves and draenei. Don't roll any of these. There is absolutely no common transport for these two races and it will take you more than half an hour to reach the other races, passing through high level zones and possibly dying to 20-30lvl mobs or even Horde players. So yeah, this leaves Alliance with a bit of a restricted race pool if you want to play as 5.

The idea of having 5 people level together is very romantic and adventurous, and I hope it works out for you, guys, because most of the time after the first levels people start saying they're busy, they can't log, others log and surpass them in level and the whole thing goes to scrap. And it's even more sad when you've made your group to be balanced with a tank, a healer, ranged DPS & melee DPS, physical DPS & spell DPS.

    1. yes
    2. nope
    3. RDF is disable
    4. the other 2 "blizzlike" realms, Deathwing and Ragnaros, are going to get "lordaeron Core" and merged into 1 Realm soon, so the same Lordaeron fixes will be up on those realms too. Main difference will be Lordaeron is x1 rate for everything, the other realms are x7 experience and x5 golds
    5. yes
    6. yes
    7. Lordaeron does not have a "Point" shop
    8. I guess they work fine
