Pandaria Minimal and normal?

Hy,

I want to download MoP, but I also want to play with my friend who happened to download the minimal version. So, whats the difference? Can both be played on the same server with the same people?

both clients link to the same server. only difference is 1 takes longer before your in game playing. minimal client lets you get in game faster, and download while you play. where as the full cleint downloads everything before you can play
