Of course it happens, because it should happen.
Unstuck is to unstuck, not a free hearthstone that you can spam, it's intended to kill you and spawn you on the graveyard.
It will teleport you to your hearthstone location only IF it's off Cooldown.
It's not a bug it's working as intended.

But since that patch, the auto unstuck activates the hearthstone cooldown, and as discussed above, it does not teleport you to your home location if the hearthstone is on cooldown.

Reading the wowwiki I see nothing about "Instantly Dying". I read about the teleport to GY though.
