    Hi guys,

I've hit 80 and I am wondering where I can get a good weapon except from Dungeons? Everything cheap will do :D

    I'm assuming ret?

in which case Titansteal Destroyer might not be the best of the best, but it is best starter item and it comes from crafting and can always be found on your local AH.

other then that try the Ampatheather of Anguish in Zul Drak, that'll pretty well get you into heroics then the place for you to go is H Halls of Light as the last boss Loken drops an epic 2 hander (Pretty Rare I might add)(sword i think, could be wrong. i know it's not a mace).

and from there it's 10m Naxx.

  3. Apart from the De-Raged Waraxe from the Zul'Drak arena (prequest is in Dalaran sewers), which should be your starting point, and the Blacksmithing crafted Titansteel Destroyer, the weapon from HoL Hc is an axe - Colossal Skull-Clad Cleaver. Another option is the Sword of Justice from the Brann Bronzebeard encounter in HoS Hc. Two other options, albeit sub-par to the above mentioned, are Argent Skeleton Crusher and Runeblade of Demonstrable Power. The crusher has too much stamina at the expense of strength and it also has armor penetration. Eeew. The runeblade is... mediocre, at best - strength translates into more attack power than pure attack power on items and agility is veeeery far behind on your priority list at low gear.

So, as you can see, there's plenty of choice. Try getting your hands on the 2H axe from Loken - it's the best option when considering time, gold, and item effectiveness. If that fails and you can't get Sword of Justice either, and if you have the gold or access to the BS crafted 2H mace - go for it. You won't change it until Death's Bite from Kel'Thuzad 10-man.

All in all, pre-raid your best choices are: 1) the BS mace, 2) the HoL axe, 2) the HoS sword, then all the rest. The 3.80 speed and socket on the sword actually bring it very close to the axe.
