How are the different healing classes?

Are they pretty close in numbers? Is there any class that's just way better then another? I love healing but I don't want to make a weak one, I want to make one that performs well in all the raids.

I didn't yet started playing on Lordaeron, but based on my knowledge of Wotlk as a Veteran Healer, I`ll tell you what I know...

1) Hpally: are the best if you want to focus your healing on the tanks ( their MT and OT ) and few others who are running low, I saw few Hpally doing the job of others healers such as healing the whole raid group, but their where mainly focusing of spamming flash heal, but they were running low of mana pretty quickly.

2) RShaman: pretty good at raid healing with their chain heal and bringing some nice buff with their totems, pop hero/lust and whatnot.

3) RestoDruid: The best in my opinion when it come to healing the whole raid. they can pop innervate, pop a combat rezz, nice at mana conserving, hot`s healer, etc.

4) Holy Priest: great at raid healing also, can pop some decent heal there and there, not a huge fan of their mechanism of healing, but they are really great.

5) disc priest: if you like to spam some shields on people, lower some incoming huge dmg from the boss on tanks or other raid members, etc. disc priest is the best for that. every 25man raid need one at least, in my opinion.

All healers are needed and each have their own specialties.

Best Tank Healers in Order: Paladins > Disc Priest = Shaman > Druid > Holy Priest
Best Raid Healers in Order: Druid = Holy Priest > Disc Priest > Shaman > Paladin

I will suggest to go with Disc MS and Holy OS and you would never find difficulty in finding a spot in raid, no matter which guild.
