WOTLK 3.3.5a Not Working On Mac Lion 10.7.5 OSX

Downloaded multiple copies of the game, afterwards I wiped it all off the computer and kept the Windows Version (as the only version that worked) on the computer and used the Downloaded .app from a forum on here, game opens as 3.3.5 but the second i log in it attempts to update, asks me to restart, and then opens the launcher updater and attempts to update to 4.x.x.x. Ive been told in other forums here that I should not allow this to happen, and that I need to "Patch Up" however there seem to be no working links for these patches.I guess my overall question is am I doing something wrong? Does it stand within where I began or where I'm ending? Where can I find a working patch if that is ultimately the problem??

It is playing fine for me using that version of Lion. If I recall there may be 2 different threads in regards to playing 3.3.5a on a Mac. The thread I did NOT use for getting my install to work was the one where the OP had all the different patch links. I'm too lazy for that. I found a thread here that had a link that worked perfectly and allowed me to dl > install> and play.

your using the WoW Launcher.app, you need to use the WoW.app , if you use the launcher it will update.

EDIT: Also why are you still on 10.7.5, apple dropped support for that, they are getting ready to drop support for 10.8 this year and 10.9 next year.
