BG QUE wait time on upcoming Icecrown

I am pretty sure that this is going to happen once the realm merge,so I am going to state again what others talked about since months.
As a Deathwing alliance,I have experienced horrible ques recently. It goes up to a whole hour at a time.Usually is about at least 10 mins and RARELY is instant. There was a decrease in horde pvp in general so it's to be expected, but anyhow,it's way to long.
My guild is filled with mostly casual players. Most of us log in to do a couple of bgs,but literally, this is driving us away from the game and even tho many people came back they're planing to stop if it keeps like this.
I've heard that Ragnaros horde is a bit more active in Pvp and has several pvp guilds(which hopefully is going to make difference).
We all are looking forward to a merge and hoping that it eventually will fix up the things.
If it does not,all the more people will have the same attitude towards this kind of PvP and realm certainly won't live up to its capacities.
Staff-Try to think of a way.It suits you just as much it suits us.

Yeah.. alliance is w8ing up to 20 min solo queue, 50 min premade queue.. hope it will fix after merge

    Join horde .. problem solve

the merge WONT fix this at all,

Ragnaros horde is a bit more active in Pvp
Yes, we are pretty active, instant queues and whatnot but we always lose, some ppl will come and say it's ST peak hours and that BS but NO .. Horde always loses .. face it live with it .. we do our honor farming maths counting the losses we never hope for winz .. anyways i've cry'd enough .. so after the merge we will be Rag Horde + Death Horde VS Rag Ally + Death ally = IC Horde losing all the time vs IC alliance and their 1H queues

    /end

Why dont you move to horde? Deathwing's current Horde side needs more pvp guilds

My guild went horde soon after the Molten down, when the situation was exact like this in order to ''balance'' the ques. The situation obviously got better, since it was around 100 of us.Speaking in their name,at a time we were more active and more into this for a short time being, since it was kind of a new start and we gave it more time.but anyhow, the past years we've been a casual group of pvpers, due to our real life obligations.
Transfering was a one time thing and isn't an option anymore. Its splits up the group and not to mention it cost **** loads.Nor we have the time nor will to do it all over again.Been alliance since the early days Molten came up and plan to stay.

So, nothing will change. Enjoy your 1 hour queue and keep complaining on forums like 90% of other Alliance players.

Why'd anyone change faction when it's easier to faceroll mostly 2-3k gs players.

They should oppen free change factions / race modifications at realm. As a horde, I enjoy having instant queues, but this situation must be a pain in the *** for all alliance players :/

according to the information page both realms are roughly equal faction population. unless that changes they won't open free faction changes.

Everybody agrees that Battleground queue times on the new core are ridiculous long.

But what causes this problem? Well it's pretty easy. Right now Battlegrounds open once there are 5 players on every faction in queue, like 5v5. After that the queue allows 1 player per player for each faction. You will never see 5v10 unless 5 players of 1 faction didn't join the battleground or already left it.

Before the core swap Battlegrounds had no ****ing range to fill up. Queues were handed for as long as there was a free spot in an open battleground. Right now every battleground has open spots which can't be filled because of again, a bad system.

But what does that have to do with these super long queues? Everything. The warmane staff should change this kind of queue system which results in av's almost never filling up, mega long queues and poor quality pvp. Come on Warmane, we know you can do it but the real question is, why DON'T you guys WANT to change this?

It's simple to solve, make the range larger than 1 per 1 even if this leads to 40 v 20 alterac valleys (which is normal).

This is not only on Deathwing/Ragnaros but also on Lordaeron. Just to give an example to show how severe this situation is, although I have my doubts that anyone with the power to fix this will actually care about the issue.

This is the daily routine for the casual Lordaeron player. Hardcore settings = Hardcore queue times I guess?

    Nice theory but wrong.
The old core had the exact same queue system which balanced the ratio of horde and alliance in a bg.
I was frequently in 40 man bg premades and if 20 opponents were in a bg then only half of our premade was able to enter while the other half had to wait until more opponents join.

The reason why u see this long queue time is just because of faction imbalance. Has nothing to do with the new queue system.

Alliance queue timers are big cuz as Alliance you have to wait Horde to finish/join BGs. Also before new system RBGs were diseaster, AV insta 40 ally vs 10 horde. So yeah current system is really nice. If you dont wanna wait queue join Horde or qq here like every Alliance. About pvp as Horde, yes Alliance win more if you solo que, but Horde premade wins more. I know guys from Warbringers that have 90% win ratio only on 600 AV games...

I had a situation for a couple of times when AV is missing players and a new bg opens up,while the ongoing AV is about to close itself.
That's certainly not up on players to fix.Not my intention to point fingers, but the problems.

  14. May 17, 2016
It's the same on retail. Everyone rolls ally because they think they're on the winning team and can abuse EMFH OP and then they end up with 20-60 minutes queues, while on horde we get instant queues and still stomp all over EMFH pros and premades.

Ragnaros alliance here, not sure if its because I usually play during the peak or what... but to be honest it rarely happens that I wait more than 5 minutes for an rbg (solo queue at least). The problem is that 90% of the bgs are AV (and I really like AVs, but the problem is that people have no idea what to do there, or they close after 5 minutes) and don't ask me to use the /who macros because then I'd never join a bg.

Fortunately the specific bg queue bug report has been confirmed, if the whole system is not going to be reworked then at least the specific queue may be some hope, vote it up here please: https://www.warmane.com/bugtracker/report/20444
